Just one week after graduation Drew began training as a Color Specialist with Jose Eber at South Coast Plaza. There he assisted and trained under some of the best Hair Colorists in Orange County.

After about a year Drew decided to broaden his education and moved to Toni&Guy at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. There Drew received world class education as a "Chemical Technician" or to simplify, a Color Specialist. Classes were very structured and taught by industry leaders allowing for Drew to quickly learn and fine tune his skills in Hair Coloring, Hair Color Correction, Hair Perming, Hair Relaxing and Hair High Lighting. Drew remained at Toni & Guy for about three years honing is coloring skills and building his clientele before moving to the next stage of his career.

Salon Gregories >
At the first of the year 2000 Drew found a home at Salon Gregories, also at Fashion Island. There he was selected by Dusty Simington, formerly of Hampton Salon and a TIGI Ambassador, to co-direct a formal Hairdressing education program and artistic team. As the newly designated Director of Education and Artistic Team Color Director, Drew formatted the Hairdressing education program for the 20-25 assistants eager to learn the advanced skills they would need to make a great career of Hairdressing.

Drew, as a Director, participated in depth with photo shoots and competition Hairdressing with his artistic team. Today Drew's Hair Color work has been published in more than two dozen magazines worldwide.

Also noteworthy is Drew's 2001 appearance as Hair Colorist in an episode TLC's "The Makeover Story". Only a few select members of Salon Gregories Artistic Team were chosen to participate in this episode.

Schwarzkopf Level Three Technical Advisor >
During Drew's appointment as Color and Education Director Drew was invited by Schwarzkopf, a world leader in Hair Color and Hair Styling products, to attend intense and very advanced training classes in order for him to join the ranks of a handful of highly advanced Hair Color educators. Drew quickly reached the status of Level Three Technical Advisor, the highest one may reach without working for Schwarzkopf, and he still holds that certification today.

Great Lengths Hair Extensions >
Drew traveled to Las Vegas in his second year at Salon Gregories to learn the art of Hair Extensions. There he was trained by a master educator for Great Lengths Hair Extensions. Today he is one of the best who is always striving for 100% un-detectable extensions. Drew doesn't want anyone to know your secret.

Yuko System Permanent Hair Straightening >
During his last year at Salon Gregories, April 2002, Drew learned how to straighten hair in Beverly Hills at the Yuko System academy. Back then very few people knew of "Japanese" Hair Straightening but it wouldn't take long before Drew was one of the most sought after straightening technicians. Drew continues his Hair Straightening education with Yuko System on a regular basis and has, on two occasions, been trained personally by Ms. Yuko Yamashita, the creator of the Yuko System Permanent Hair Straightening System. Today Drew remains one of the best and most sought after Hair Straightening experts

Christopher and Company >
After reaching a turning point in his career in April of 2003, Drew left Salon Gregories for Corona Del Mar. Drew would now call Christopher and Company his home. By leaving Salon Gregories Drew was able to put more emphasis on client care by booking his own appointments and fielding all questions personally. It has been during these last three years that Drew has had the privilege of working closely with Yuko System in testing new Hair Straightening solutions and has been afforded much in the way of advanced Hair Straightening education which he has passed along to many country wide traveling outside of California to teach others this highly complicated art.

Drew has continued to utilize his level 3 Hair Color Certification by passing along his knowledge and expertise in color to both Hair Styling assistants and Hair Stylists.

Armando Salon >
2008- Current... Drew is on the move again only this time to the brand new, and very beautiful, Armando Salon in Newport Beach. Armando Salon is located on Pacific Coast Hwy in Newport Beach across from the Balboa Bay Club and in between the Ferrari dealer and West Marine. The Armando Salon is a sister to the high-end salon Joshua Christopher in Fullerton, Ca.

Drew feels that the Armando Hair Salon is the best fit for both his clients and himself. The salon is staffed with true Hair Dressing professionals whose politeness and customer service skills are only rivaled by their Hairdressing skills. Drew is also using this opportunity at the Armando Salon to put a much higher emphasis on client care. By scheduling less clients in a day Drew has been able to spend more quality time with each client making them feel more important and well cared for and as an unforeseen, but welcome, side effect he too is much happier for it.
